Sunset Moments

As the sunsets on another day it’s got me thinking.

My family know little about what I do at work, I try my best to keep that separate. As I walk out of work, I let the sunset.

At home my sunsets when I get into my bed and I close my eyes.

Workers

‘And though she be but little, she is fierce’. – Shakespeare

I often feel like this small in a big world. In my work place so many people thinking that their role is more important than another’s. This could not be more wrong. It takes many things to succeed, often with one selfless person bringing them together not caring if they get the recognition. Because if it can make positive change what does it matter they will always know in their heart what they have done.

International Women’s Day

On #internationalwomensday I celebrate all the women in my life and to all the unsung women that achieve so very much but go unnoticed. I encourage everyone no matter their gender to work for their dreams, never believe that one job is superior to another and to remember it’s everyone working together that will make the most successful place to be. #women #equality #together #we’vegottgis #yougotthis #homelife #worklife

Work Life

Getting ready – quite often in my day job I come across people who block the system, who are negative, are scared of working together, of showing weakness and quite often think they know the answer to everything. And every day I get up do my day job to try and show others that you can make change, that you can work through problems, you don’t have to let others stop you from achieving and that YOU matter.

Tuesday Thoughts 💭

‘Spend a little more time trying to make something of yourself and a little less time trying to impress people.’ – The Breakfast Club –

I love Instagram and I use it for inspiration, for my mental health and as a record.

1. Inspiration – I love to see other people’s adventures, where they are exploring and what others are up to. I try my best not to feel like I am missing out but to look at what I could do or where I could get to.

2. Mental Health – trying to make myself understand and realise that it’s ok to be sad, it’s ok to miss someone you love who is no longer here and that every day is not perfect.

3. A record – what I have achieved, where I was, what I have seen, and what I have. I love looking back although sometimes it hurts terribly I know how far I have come from an unbelievable tragedy that broke my world. ❤️ So use Instagram for what makes you happy, follow the things you love, dream of what can be, share with others if you wish and try not to feel like your missing out as no one can do everything or be everywhere. ❤️ #instagram #mentalhealth #inspiration #record

Resetting

We have just spent 5 fabulous days in Chamonix. There were many reasons for this trip but one was a break for me from the every day grind of life.

I have used the time to help reset my mental health, to give my brain space from the daily grind.

Now you don’t have to adventure miles away from home to do this but away from home is key.

In the main I have escaped:

  • The daily work job in health and social care.
  • The current fight of getting the children to school.
  • The daily house chores, washing, cleaning, tidying, cooking etc

And I have gained:

  • Many fantastic memories with my family.
  • Mind space, ready for the next innings.
  • A tidy house when I get home, I always make sure we return to a clean and tidy house.
  • A s*** load of washing, that can be done at the weekend.

And whilst I would love to stay here, I also can’t wait to get home to plan the next adventure and sleep in my own bed!

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc it’s been a pleasure visiting you.

Tuesday Thoughts

Sometimes you have to do things as others don’t understand.

Even when you have explained sometimes people still don’t get it.

And quite often it’s much better done by you anyway.

I use my escape of the beautiful outdoors to release the stress from inside.

Confidence

If you find the confidence in yourself you will progress so much further. 😊

As a person I am fairly confident in many things that I do. I believe I am this way because I like to make sure that I understand what I am talking about. I research what I want to know and I am not frightened to ask others questions; it’s about learning. You must find your inner confidence and believe in yourself as you get results from finding out from others and not sitting back doing nothing.

Sometimes it maybe scary to ask that question but I respect others for asking me questions so maybe think about that next time you are holding back. 💭 ✊
