Watching the sunset

This evening as I pulled into the car park at Herne Bay sea front the sun was setting, I saw my friend that I hadn’t seen in person for so long. I pulled in to a space near by opened the door, jumped out and hugged her, my heart full of happiness.

We went to a stylish Turkish restaurant where the food was delicious and I was able to see the sunset in the distance from our table.

We met when we both worked at a big high street company back in 2012. Today we reflected how our lives have changed since then and never did either of us think we we be where we are now.

I am so proud of my friend and her achievements, a next chapter for her starts soon and I am so excited for her and I cannot wait to catch up when she is back. This evening she brought happiness into my day and that’s what true friends will always do.

My friend booked A La Turka – Herne Bay which I would highly recommend. Oh and I loved decor and lights.

Spending time with my Mum is one of my favourite things, I wish that I could spend more time with her. This summer we spent time together on a family mini break to Arundel, this picture is from when we were walking West Wittering Beach.

I love how independent she is, I thank her for all that she has taught me. I admire how she cares for me. I love how she supports me. I am so lucky 🍀 what an amazing mum I have ❤️👩‍👧

First Look

I love it when I’m exploring places that I don’t know – what’s around the corner – what’s through the trees – what’s the other side of the building. We should embrace the unknown in every aspect of our life as we will encounter so much of it all through our lives. #TuesdayThoughts

Cycling Clowes Wood

Since I was young I was always taken to Clowes Wood, we would take our family dogs down whilst our parents would walk we would often be allowed take our bikes.

Fast forward a few years and I now often bring my children here.

It’s a beautiful woods at all times of the year, with good clear paths.

This weekend just gone we took our bikes for my first proper bike ride since I had an accident whilst I was on a charity bike ride earlier this year. I was nervous I’m not going to lie, it’s been 12 weeks and I still have pain and have to sleep in an unusual position at night. So going through these familiar woodlands was a good place to start back at something I love so much.

The woods have the ‘crab and winkle way’ running through them. This means if you park at the woods you can choose to either ride into Canterbury or into Whitstable. We personally prefer going to Whitstable it’s a really wonderful seaside town.

Why am I blogging?

So I took the plunge and I am going to give this blogging world a proper trail. Why am I here?

After my life changed in an instant last year my mind was altered and I decided that I would do what made me happy for ever more. It’s not that simple though, money doesn’t just hit my bank account for me to spend as I wish I need to work. But there it is I need to do something but how I choose to do it is up to me. In my blog I plan to tell whoever wishes to read, my thoughts, my reasoning, my chaotic life and I invite you to remember that sometimes we need to sit alone for a minute and reflect what do I want from my life and how could I go about getting that – for ultimately we are responsible for our fate and if we do but try we should be proud. Look back at what we have achieved no matter how small as each win will bring you to the place that you wish.

My main passion is my family, to travel, to explore and find the different and not be normal but just be me. Link in the bio. #blogger #findyourepic #summerholidays2018 #adventures #nature #maps #familyexploringideas #beproudofyourself
