Walking in Wye – Kent

What a beautiful Sunday to explore Kent.

Today we visited the village of Wye, with so many footpaths to choose from it was easy to devise a route.

We parked at the top of the hill ‘The Devil’s Kneading Trough’ where there is parking for approximately 10 cars – parking spaces are marked which I find brilliant as it stops people from taking several spaces. There is also another car park slightly further down the road if this is full.

The view from the top today was beautiful, you could see for miles – we could see a wind farm in the distance.

It is hilly so be prepared if you go down your going to have to come back up!

We use the OS Maps App to track our route.

Hidden

‘Things are not always what they seem; first the appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden.’ – Phaedrus –

I like to take time to explore the surroundings where ever I am, there are so many hidden things right in front of me ‘hidden in plain sight’.

Always 💙

I will hold your hand in the darkness

I will hold your hand in the light

I will be here for you in the good times

I will be here for you in the bad times

I will be with you when things just don’t make sense

And currently what you don’t see and I watch is your success every day and that my sweetheart makes me proud of what an amazing person you are and will always be

Reinden Woods

Explored a local woods today, we took the circular walk on UK Defence Land and managed to just miss the rain ☔️ 😁

This has a very easy, sign posted route to follow, and could be incorporated into a longer route if you wish. Lots of information signs providing you with information about the history of the woods.

Parking is limited to approximately 8 cars.

We used the OS map app to track our route.

Seaside Adventures

Such a beautiful seaside location for a short walk.

My husband and I took a walk along the cliffs from Dumpton Gap to Viking Bay then back along the beach. It’s such a lovely walk and doesn’t take too long. There are plenty of places to stop along the way if you so wish, including bars, ice cream shops and restaurants.

We used the OS map app to track and record our route.

’Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.’ – Oprah Winfrey –

Last time I was here it was pitch black and just passed midnight seeing in the new year with loved ones. It’s a really beautiful place, with so much to see and explore. #getoutside

Protection

‘I don’t want to protect the environment. I want to create a world where the environment doesn’t need protecting.’

For so long the world has been taken for granted, we have put in place things to ‘protect’ it but we need to make people protect it without thinking.

By exploring this world I have become more and more aware of how amazing it truly is. Every day I try to be more conscious in choices I make, I don’t believe for one moment that I am perfect or that me alone will change the world but I do hope that the family I raise will automatically do thinks that are better for our world. 🌍

Environmental Sensitive Areas were introduced in 1987 to offer incentives to encourage farmers to adopt agricultural practices which would safeguard and enhance parts of the country of particularly high landscape, wildlife or historic value.
