Working at a desk all day was never what I planned or wanted to do. I have always been a sports lover, keen to explore and loved being outside. But reality is my day job means being inside working at a desk or attending meetings sometimes in a room with no windows. So when my work day is over like today I had only clocked up a less than 1000 steps on my Fitbit so I needed to get my body moving and give my muscles some exercise. No only has the #Walk1000Miles challenge made me challenge myself it has helped with my fitness, my mental health and my overall wellbeing. So this evening there was a little light rain as I left the house which actually was quite refreshing and by the time I was back home my Fitbit was showing over 10,000 steps. 🙌🏼
New Tricks
Had a great time learning new things this weekend, fire poi – thankfully no fire at this stage 🔥 😂
A little bit of fresh air
This is just perfect 💚
It’s felt like a long week working whist the children were on half term but now I’m free for the weekend. Time to get outside and explore West Sussex a bit more.

Work life
Totally shattered today and I have only worked 2 days this week! The children are on half term and I feel awful that I have not taken them away for the week. I have an awful migraine and I am holding a conference tomorrow. My hair is messy, my brain is scrambled and I’m off to bed to try and get a good nights sleep. * This is real life, this is family life, this is working and having a family. It’s not all easy so often so many of us just getting through the days best we can. I have plans for the weekend, I have planned my work event, the children are ok and I should just relax!*
Family Games
Family time is something you should always make time for. One of the things we love to do is play a game of swingball.
Bank Holiday
My favourite trig point 🧡 I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend 🧡
#Walk1000Miles
After attending a conference today and sitting around for most of the day I really needed to get outside. What a beautiful evening it was for a walk out in the countryside. 💚
729 Days
Entering this week with as much positivity as possible. I thank those who over the past 729 days have shared their stories with me and who have taken the time to listen to mine. As my journey continues I aim to provide support to others by challenging myself to climb Kilimanjaro and raising money for Child Bereavement UK. Making a positive difference to others is something I can work to achieve. If you are able to donate please check out my virgin money giving page every penny will go towards helping bereaved families.
The Unknown
The beauty that blooms, I have absolutely no idea what this is but when I found it on my walk I was immediately drawn to its beautiful colour. 💙
Mental Health Awareness
‘Don’t worry if people don’t like you, most people are struggling to like themselves’. Seen some truly amazing posts this week about mental health and many people sharing their stories. Self love and self care is more important than anything else, you can’t function at you best for the ones you love if you don’t look after yourself.
