#walk1000miles

‘It’s your road and yours alone others may walk with you, but no one can walk it for you.’

Last year a friend of mine told me about #walk1000miles I love the sound of it but never got around to doing the tracking. After following the group page on Facebook I decided to go for the challenge. The Facebook group is great, they share pictures, hints and tips, walks, ideas, stories and much more. And I have to say there is no negativity in the group which is brilliant. So why not take a look and join the challenge yourself? There is no specific type needed just a desire to help yourself and interest to get outside exploring.

How far?

Things often seem so far away, unreachable and unachievable. The reality is often it’s not that far, it’s perfectly in reach and can be achieved. Give yourself a chance, try and you will be surprised how far you already are. #achieve #distance

The gift of adventure

Actually, the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures – Lewis Carroll – Alice in Wonderland –

A life with my husband could already write several books about our adventures. Now to continue our series into 2019.

New Year

I would like to wish everyone of you a happy and healthy 2019.

Although we have entered a new year you are still YOU. Make sure you focus more on yourself this year – a happy person makes other things come naturally.

Don’t compare yourself to others, enjoy following or watching others that are happy to share MOMENTS from their lives.

You cannot see every moment of some else’s life, there will be:

  • Mundane moments and tasks that they have to compete.
  • Moments when they cry and are sad.
  • Highs from so many different things.
  • Lows from all sorts of circumstances.

Look for your moments of happiness, do things that make you happy and always remember that not everyone likes everyone else and that’s ok.

Time well spent

I don’t think people understand how stressful it is to explain what is going on in your head, when you don’t even understand it yourself.

Sometimes just listening and giving someone time to release all the random and tangled thoughts in their mind is the most valuable time you will ever give.

Wednesday Wisdom

‘It takes something more than intelligence to act intelligently’. – Fyodor Dostoyevsky –

It’s not a given it’s something you learn, often taught by those close to you. Knowing that you conduct yourself how you expect to be treated by others.
